I REMEMBER BHOPAL GAS TRAGEDY

New Delhi, 17th December. As part of the Disaster Management Orientation Camp,organised b y the Trust of Environment and Education, students of Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar and G.D. Salwan Public School recently visited Bhopal on the 28th anniversary of the Bhopal gas tragedy. The chief aim of the campaign was to make the students aware of the tragedy that took place way back in December 1984, and its after-effects.                      The students had a meeting with Shahnawaz Khan, advocate and social activist, who briefed them about the tragedy and the steps taken by the the government to treat the victims. Besides, Moti Singh, the collector and Dr.Ajay Khare shared their experience and informed the students about the measures which they took in that state of emergency.
